Downloading from Facebook: what to know
Reels links come in more shapes than any other Facebook video, and this downloader is built to accept all of them. The canonical facebook.com/reel/… address works, of course — but so do the short fb.watch links the share button produces and the facebook.com/share/r/… form the mobile app hands out; short links are expanded automatically on the server, so whatever the share sheet gives you is enough. There is one quirk worth knowing: Facebook refuses to show /reel/ pages to visitors who aren’t logged in, so behind the scenes the tool re-requests the same video through its Watch page instead. That happens transparently in a second or two — you paste a Reel link, you get the Reel’s MP4.
Quality is a straight passthrough of what Facebook has. Most Reels exist in two renditions — an HD encode and a lighter SD one — and when both are present the downloader lists both, so you choose between best picture and smallest file. Some uploads, especially older ones or clips shot on slow connections, only exist in SD; in that case the tool shows what is actually there rather than upscaling or re-encoding anything. The file you save is the same MP4 Facebook streams to its own player, fetched directly from Facebook’s CDN to your device, watermark-free. There is nothing to install and no account to sign in to, and the downloader is free on any phone, tablet or computer.
The one hard limit is visibility: only public Reels can be saved. Clips shared to friends-only audiences, inside private groups or behind any login wall will not resolve — by design, since this site never touches your Facebook account. A quick way to check a stubborn link: open it in a private browsing window while logged out of Facebook. If the Reel plays there, it is public and will download; if Facebook asks you to sign in, no downloader without your credentials can reach it. For everything else — regular Facebook videos, Watch shows and video posts — the main Facebook video downloader on this site handles the wider cases.

Téléchargeur Facebook — FAQ
How do I download a Facebook Reel? +
Copy the Reel’s link via “Share” → “Copy link” — or copy the fb.watch link — paste it into the downloader at the top of this page, pick HD or SD, and click Download.
Le téléchargeur Facebook est-il gratuit ? +
Oui. Le téléchargeur Facebook en ligne de cette page est gratuit — aucune inscription, aucun abonnement et aucun filigrane ajouté aux fichiers que vous enregistrez.
Can I download Facebook Reels in HD? +
Yes — whenever Facebook serves an HD rendition, it is listed alongside the SD one and you pick. Reels that only exist in SD are shown as-is; nothing is upscaled or re-encoded.
Do I need an account or login to use the Facebook downloader? +
No. You never sign in to this site, and we never ask for your Facebook username or password. Paste a public link, pick a format and download — that’s the whole flow.
What formats and quality can I download from Facebook? +
Reels save as MP4, with an HD and an SD option whenever Facebook provides both renditions. Files come straight from Facebook’s servers, never re-encoded, with no watermark.
Does the Facebook downloader work on iPhone, Android and PC? +
Yes. It runs entirely in your web browser, so it works the same on iPhone and iPad (Safari), Android phones (Chrome) and any Windows, Mac or Linux computer — there is no app to install and nothing to update.
Can I download private Facebook posts? +
No — private, friends-only and login-walled content is not supported. Only publicly visible posts can be fetched. If a link requires signing in to view, the downloader cannot resolve it, by design.
Do fb.watch and share links work, or do I need the full URL? +
Any form works: facebook.com/reel/… links, short fb.watch links and the facebook.com/share/r/… links from the mobile app are all expanded and resolved automatically.
